Shaftesbury is one of the oldest Meetings of the Area Meeting although their fairly modern bungalow type building doesn't give one that impression. The Meeting is numerically quite high but has a disproportionate attendance. However, it is what one might describe as a busy local Meeting.

The Meeting house can be found if one follows the signs for the Abbey gardens and walk which lies near the war memorial. Its address is 5 Abbey Walk. From the carpark in the centre of the town walk  to the southwest and find a side road with a solicitors office on the corner (Rutters). The side road is Bimport (B3091) and Abbey Walk is approx 100m along and on the left. See map.

Meetings for Worship take place on Sundays from 10.30. Children are welcome on 2nd and 4th Sundays and when there's a 5th Sunday All Age Meeting. This means generally, children stay within the main MfW on those days but there may be more happening than is usual.

The building is well equipped to welcome those less able and wheelchair access toilet etc is available.
